Resident Information When does RAGBRAI come through Eldridge? RAGBRAI will be passing through Eldridge on Saturday; July 26. Riders will begin to arrive at 6 am with the bulk of the riders arriving between 9:00 am and 12:30 pm. How many people do we expect to come through Eldridge? Eldridge is the meeting town for Saturday, we can expect 10,000-15,000 bike riders along with their support vehicles. How will the riders get through town? A route for the riders has been determined and can be found here. Support vehicles will enter town from the south on First Street. Support vehicles will be required to stay south of the rider's route through Eldrige. How will normal traffic be affected? Some road will be closed to allow RAGBRAI traffic to flow through town properly. To see a map of road closures, click here. LeClaire Road will be closed to through traffic; however, you will be allowed to use LeClaire Road to get to 5th Street or 8th Street. These two streets will be used as our crossing points west of 1st Street. Due to the number of bike riders passing through, there will be considerable traffic delays. Be aware that N. 1st Street will be closed south of Franklin Street. If you need to go north on N. 1st Street, please use streets north of Franklin (Donahue, Davies and Price) to access N. 1st Street. Also, be aware that S. 1st Street will be closed north of E. Iowa Street. If you need to go south on S. 1st Street, please use either W. Sheridan Drive or W. Spring Street to access S. 1st Street. Law enforcement officials and/or volunteers will be directing traffic for areas east of 1st Street as well. How do I get involved? Volunteer! Anyone and everyone is encouraged to get involved.
